Forever is a very long time. The great depression left its mark on that generation but really didn't impact future generations as much as one might think. Repeated studies have shown that people learn very little from history - it is doubtful that this time will be different.

Probably be more conservative for a very long time. Credit card dependency will probably decrease.

I wish. My guess is, when this whole thing blows over, we'll go back to living beyond our means again.
